Author Wayne Glenn is an Ozarks native whose ancestors came to future Christian County before the Civil War. Glenn, his wife Nira, and family still live on the farm his parents bought in 1949. He graduated from Nixa High in 1965 and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in education from MSU in Springfield. An educator for 14 years, Glenn has been a radio personality on KTXR-FM, 101.3, since 1977 where he is known as the "Old Record Collector."
